£120,000 Summit for Charity

Nigel Maxwell, Sales Director with Musgrave Retail Partners NI and Action Cancer’s Corporate Fundraising Officer Kerry McCrea celebrate the success of the fourth annual Musgrave Mountain Challenge. The event involved 120 staff from SuperValu and Centra stores across Northern Ireland, who took part in two days of strenuous hill walking over the last weekend in May to raise £10,000 for their long-term charity partner, Action Cancer. The Musgrave Mountaineers followed an arduous route through the Mournes in Co Down and across Muckish Mountain in Donegal.

SuperValu and Centra have long-term, award winning partnerships with Action Cancer which have generated over £1million for the charity since 2001. The Musgrave Mountain Challenge fundraising event is one of their biggest annual challenges, raising almost £120,000 in the past four years.
