Centra-sponsored Healthy School Awards Open for Entries

Action Cancer and Centra are calling on all 1,600 of Northern Ireland's schools to enter their tenth annual Health Action Awards. Nurseries, playgroups, schools and colleges can take part in the awards, which highlight the work of the province's most health-conscious schools.
The awards form part of Action Cancer's Health Action programme for young people, which has been supported by Centra since 2003. Centra retailers across Northern Ireland promote Health Action roadshows to local schools and fundraise for Action Cancer. To date more than £700,000 has been donated to the programme.

Adam Duffield (3) and Ailsa McKenzie (3), from Trinity Nursery School, Bangor joined Action Cancer’s Catherine Foreman, centre, Tina Campbell from UTV, Jennifer Morton, Centra, and the charity’s health promotion puppets Mambo and Jazz when their school won a Health Action Award in 2011.
