Kelly's Centra, Trench Road, Derry claimed the coveted title of "Centra Store of the Year" at the Musgrave Retail Partners Store of the Year Awards held last week in the La Mon Hotel, Belfast.
The Trench Road store, owned by David Kelly, came out at the top of a very strong field thanks to its exceptionally high standards of staff training and customer care, focus on freshness, and their passionate approach to integrating their store into the local community.
Each of the 84 Centra stores in Northern Ireland undergoes a rigorous audit process, measuring every aspect of its performance, and Kelly's Centra came out on top.
McGoveran's Centra Malone was also named Centra High Convenience Store of the Year, and the following stores were named finalists, having achieved the very highest standards expected of Centra stores:
Speaking at the event, Centra Trench Road owner David Kelly said: "We are delighted to have been named Store of the Year in what is a hotly-contested category. Huge credit is due to our staff, who work tirelessly to deliver a top-quality service, and also to our customers, who we serve with pride each day".
