Musgrave announces new store opening

25th January 2011

Musgrave Retail Partners NI is delighted to announce the forthcoming opening of a new Centra store on the Newry to Banbridge carriageway.

The newly constructed 2,300 sq.ft. store will be owned and operated by Paul Heenan, owner of the successful SuperValu Rathfriland store. It will be the first motorway style service station site in Northern Ireland and when it is completed will realise an investment of £2.5m and 20 new jobs.

Paul Heenan said: "We have been working on this project for sometime and I am delighted to see it coming to life. The store will offer customers a new style of store and will offer a place where people can both call in but also sit down and take a break from a long journey. I am pleased also to be furthering my relationship with Musgrave and am excited to be opening under the Centra brand."

Nigel Maxwell, Sales Director, Musgrave Retail Partners NI said "We are really looking forward to this new Centra opening. This is the first store of its kind in Northern Ireland and we are delighted to be partnering with Paul again in this new venture. We would like to wish him and all his new staff luck for the future."

The store contains a full list of services for the passing customer including Hot food, sandwich and deli bar, coffee, seating area with free wifi, free ATM machine, Paypoint, extensive parking and fuel and HGV pumps.
