Ulster Rugby and Centra reflect on Summer Camp Success

28th August 2009

After eight weeks of fun and sportsmanship this year's Ulster Rugby Summer Camps, sponsored by Centra, have come to a successful close.

This year's camps came to a total of 18 venues province-wide, with almost 1,200 young people aged 6-17 years learning new skills and making new friends. Each camp lasted five days, during which participants were closely supervised by qualified IRFU coaches.

Feedback from all of this year's camps has been excellent, with the highlight of each week undoubtedly being the visit by the Ulster Rugby players, who came to the camps to join in some rugby, sign autographs and speak to the boys and girls about life as a professional rugby player.

Several Centra retailers also visited the camps over the summer to meet and encourage the local children participating in the scheme.
